Our Grantmaking Process
Grantmaking is one of five strategies the High Meadows Fund uses in promoting vibrant communities and a healthy natural environment while encouraging long-term economic vitality in Vermont.
High Meadows does not accept unsolicited grant proposals.
However, we are open to learning about new ideas and potential connections to organizations and individuals who are working on similar challenges. We have created a set of simple questions for those who would like to introduce themselves to us.
Please tell us about your organization and your work by downloading and completing a brief introductory questionnaire. The form cannot be completed online; you must download and save it to your computer. (Note - check to be sure you are using the latest version of Adobe Acrobat, especially if using Apple products. Otherwise, the form may not work.)
Completed forms should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. There is no deadline and introductions will be considered on a revolving basis, typically quarterly.
High Meadows is only able to make grants to 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations or governmental agencies. In some instances, applicants may use a fiscal sponsor.
Please see our Grantmaking page for a list of projects High Meadows has recently funded.
Please note that High Meadows typically does NOT fund:
- The purchase of equipment or facilities, even renewable energy installations;
- The production of promotional videos.
